Linda Valerio and Mr. and Mrs. John A. Valerio Jr., all of Marlboro, MA, announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine L. Valerio, to Nicholas Butler.

miss Valerio is a graduate of Norwich University, Northfield, Vt., and Western New England College School of Law, Springfield, MA. She is a lawyer with Lustig, Glaser & Wilson, Newton, MA.

Mr. Butler, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Butler Jr. of Marlboro, is a graduate of Fitchburg State College. He is employed in the City of Newton's engineering department.
