Judge and Mrs. John J. Moynihan of 10 Franconia St., Worcester, MA., announce the engagement of their daughter, Shauna E. Moynihan, to Christopher J. Simpson.

Ms. Moynihan is a graduate of Doherty High School, Connecticut College, New London, and received a master's degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FLA. She is a senior research associate at the Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making, Boston, MA.

Mr. Simpson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Simpson of Worcester and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Snay of Oakham, is a graduate of Quabbin Regional High School, Barre; Worcester Institute and is attending Northeastern University, Boston. He is a mechanical designer at Senior Operations, Sharon.

An October wedding is planned.
