Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Carchedi of 53 Elm St, Upton, MA., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Alys Carchedi, to Michael Joseph Mercure.

Ms. Carchedi is a graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School, Mendon, MA., and the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

Mr. Mercure is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Mercure of 11 Potter Road. Douglas, MA.  He is a graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School.

An August wedding is planned.
