Donald W. and Patricia T. Ashcraft of 152 Granite St., Uxbridge, MA., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara B. Ashcraft, to Thomas S. Knox Jr.

Miss Ashcraft is a graduate of Uxbridge High School and Westfield State College, MA.  She is assistant director of financial aid at Brown University, Providence, R.I.

Mr. Knox, the son of Gail M. and Thomas S. Knox Sr. of Malden, MA., is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Fla.  He is a pilot with American Eagle Airlines, Dallas.

An October wedding is planned.
